Sarah Hegazi was a queer Egyptian activist. She was imprisoned and tortured for months after raising a rainbow flag at a music concert in Cairo in 2017. In 2020 she committed suicide.

The image is a tribute to Hijazi. The line is from her suicide note: “To the world: you were incredibly cruel. But I forgive you.”
