Illustrating the memories of Syrian refugees

In the summer of 2014, I was approached by CONCERN Worldwide to work on a project to make the voices of Syrian refugees heard. Along with American journalist and author of several acclaimed novels Masha Hamilton, we listened to the stories and memories of Syrian woman refugees in Halba, North Lebanon. Masha documented their stories through her writing, and I through my illustrations.
